ACT OF SEEING (2019)

Act of Seeing is a series of performances about observing and seeing the other, about looking at reality (the city, people) in a different way, about becoming aware of your communication and interaction with the other (or the lack of it).
The text I wrote is based on the book of philosopher Rob van Gerwen, Zullen we contact houden.
From the balcony of the Circl Building, the audience watches a choreography by eight performers, while using a headset to listen to a voice-over. The choreography both cuts through and blends in with the day-to-day movements of passers-by in the square.
